FREEDOM TO MARRY MOVIE Draws 110+

More than 110 people gathered in Bortin Hall on Friday night, June 17th to enjoy Eddie Rosenstein’s ‘Freedom to Marry’ movie in good company.
After the thought provoking story of the struggle for the right to marry in the US, MDUUC hosted a 2 question “Reflection and Connection” session in groups of 2-3 people each, around the room.
MDUUC’s Chair for LGBTQ & Friends, Nancy Newhart then opened the conversation to the broader group. Many people shared feelings, opinions or observations. It was a moving experience for all.
LGBTQ & Friends raffled off a $25 Gift Card to BJ’s Restaurant to conclude the evening and the lucky winner also took home a framed glossy of the movie flyer as a memento of the evening.
